This feature is a question-and-answer session with a new Blount County Chamber member. So here we go with our 15th installment visiting with Rebecca Kiger, franchise co-owner of Home Instead Senior Care, whose passion to make a difference in a senior’s life.
 
Describe what Home Instead Senior Care does. We are a senior care business that does whatever possible to keep a senior safe and comfortable as they age right in the comfort of their home.
 
How did you get started? My husband and I were care givers to our aunt who recently passed of cancer and now we are care givers to our mother who has recently shown signs of dementia.
 
Who is your biggest supporter? My husband David Kiger is my mentor, biggest supporter and also my partner in this business. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am today.
 
What do you wish you knew when you started. How attached I would become with my clients How much this job would impact my life How hard the loss of a client would be.
 
What do you enjoy about your job? The fulfillment and joy it brings me.
