This feature is a question-and-answer session with a new Blount County Chamber member. So, here we go with our 119th installment visiting with Patrick Morgan, MD, Julie Turner, MD and Annie Johnson, DO, owners of Laser Aesthetics of Maryville, who offer the best innovative cosmetic laser procedures, body sculpting, and skin care.

Describe what Laser Aesthetics does. We offer aesthetic treatments utilizing lasers, microneedling, body sculpting, Botox and other injectable treatments. We also offer laser treatments for vulvovaginal atrophy and symptoms of vaginal relaxation.

How did you get started? We have been taking care of women’s needs for more than 40 years as Blount OBGYN/Women’s Care Group. Our patients have often asked us about additional treatment options for acne, facial scarring, sun damage, rosacea, spider veins, and unwanted hair removal. We decided to add aesthetic services to be able to offer a full array of options for our patients and others in the community.

What is your background? As OBGYN physicians, our training included medical school and residency. We keep current in the latest technology thru continuing medical education yearly. To further our knowledge base, we have had numerous hours of training in the area of laser aesthetics that we plan to offer the community.

Describe your customers. As an OBGYN office, our patients are women of all ages. With the services Laser aesthetics of Maryville will be offering, our patients will also include men. Many suffer the same conditions that women do from acne, acne scarring, sun damage to face and hands, as well as unwanted hair.

What impacts the business environment you work in? Medicine is constantly changing. New regulations, new laws and technology are a constant in our business. Staying up to date in all areas is a challenge that must be met.

What do you enjoy most about the business? It brings great satisfaction to all of us to be able to meet the needs of patients seeking to improve various conditions.
