This feature is a question-and-answer session with a new Blount County Chamber member. So here we go with our 12th installment visiting with Jamie Weiss at Jamie Weiss Photography which photographs weddings, portraits and special events. It also offers a photo booth service for proms, parties, fundraisers and carnivals.

 

What do you stive for when taking pictures? We capture memories and create heirloom art for our clients

 

How did you get started taking photos? I began photographing professionally in 2002 as I was looking for a career change after the birth of my first child.

 

Did you study photography or learned on your own? I first attended Berry College as a business marketing major and later completed my study in photography through New York Institute of Photography.

 

What do you enjoy about photography business? I love people and really enjoy helping our clients in anyway I can. I also love getting to see so many special events take place and visit many new places both near and far! It also never gets boring… One day I’m at a wedding and the next I’m photographing a high school senior and the day after that I get to cuddle a newborn baby!
