This feature is a question-and-answer session with a new Blount County Chamber member. So, here we go with our 126th installment visiting with Danny Harbin of Down Home Inspections, which provide written reports describing the current condition of a property for the client.
How did you get started? I have spent my life building, remodeling,flipping, and restoring homes. This experience has prepared me to be a home inspector.
What is your background? I am a licensed building Contractor in the state of Tennessee with over 35 years of experience in all phases of residential construction. I am a carpenter by trade but have experience in all trades associated with the construction of homes.
Who is your mentor? I was taught the building trades by my Dad, Kenneth Harbin. Our business, Kenneth Harbin Builders inc was established in 1955. Since then, we have built hundreds of homes.
Describe your customers. My clients are buyers that wish to learn as much as possible about the home they are considering to purchase.
What do you enjoy about running the business? I really enjoy the opportunity to educate people about their home. I enjoy answering their questions and helping them to make a good decision about their home.
