The Trust Company of Tennessee again earns national retirement plan recognition
The Trust Company of Tennessee again has earned national recognition for its retirement plan services by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).
The list of the Top Defined Contribution (DC) Advisor Multi-Office Firms includes 31 U.S. companies that have more than one office and exceed $1 billion in defined contribution assets under advisement as of Dec. 31, 2020. Defined contribution retirement plans are ones to which an employee, employer or both make regular contributions.
Founded in 1987 by Sharon J. Pryse, The Trust Company of Tennessee has more than 85 employees and offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities. The company helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, corporate retirement and personal trust services.
“Our team works hard every day to serve retirement plan sponsors by eliminating 401(k) hassles and allowing them to focus on running their businesses,” President Daniel Carter said. “And our service goes beyond plan sponsors to help participants understand and make the most of this substantial benefit.”
This is the third year that NAPA has released the Top DC Advisor Multi-Office Firms list, and The Trust Company of Tennessee has been the only Tennessee firm on the list each time. To view the list, visit https://www.napa-net.org/top-dc-advisor-multi-office-firms-2020.
The firm offers monthly, no-cost Retirement Plan Academy sessions offering best practices and advice to retirement plan sponsors. To register for an upcoming session and view archived topics, visit https://thetrust.com/rpa.
“I commend our retirement plan services team for the high level of service offered to both employers and participants,” Carter said.
