The recognition was in the Video Productions – Documentary category of the competition. There are expected to be more than  1,500 entries from throughout the United States and dozens of other countries in the  2020 competition.

One of the most coveted awards in the video, Videographer Awards began in 1994 with thousands of production and communication professionals have  entered their best and most creative work. The goal of the Videographer Awards is to  identify and recognize the video artisans who excel in the scope of their own  environment. Winners range from network news operations to local cable access…..from large production companies to freelancers…..from international advertising agencies to  student producers.

Winners are selected from 166 categories under the headings of Video Production, Web  Based Production and Television Production. The Award of Excellence is awarded to  those projects that the judges deem are written, produced, shot and/or edited in an  exceptional manner. Approximately 13 percent of the entries usually win this award.  The Award of Distinction is awarded for projects that exceed industry standards.  Approximately 14 percent of the entries usually win this award. Excellence and Distinction winners are listed on the Videographer Awards website at www.videoawards.com. About 6 percent of the entries are expected to receive  Honorable Mention designation for work that the judges felt was also worthy of  recognition.

The Videographer Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing  and Communication Professionals (www.amcpros.com). The international organization  consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations,  media production and free-lance professionals who have entered AMC Programs. The  Advisory Board oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets  standards of excellence.
