Tremont Institute celebrates 50 years during annual Homecoming Celebration
Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont will host its annual Homecoming Celebration on Sunday, October 13, 2019, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The event celebrates Tremont Institute and the education programs that have inspired thousands of adults and children since 1969. All proceeds from the evening benefit the Scholarship Fund, which empowers the organization to provide financial aid to thousands of visiting students who spend 3-10 days living and learning in the national park each year.
The public is invited to join Tremont Institute for an evening that includes a social hour, campfire and s’mores bar, seated dinner, live auction, remarks from President & CEO Catey Terry, and a special 50th Anniversary commemorative ceremony. Attendees are encouraged to come prepared to bid on exclusive Tremont experiences during the live auction and share their Tremont stories and memories in an interactive story booth.
Tickets start at $60 per person, and multiple ticket options are available. Seating is limited. Individuals must RSVP for the event by September 27th online at http://gsmit.org/event/50th-anniversary-homecoming/. Attendees can also register to spend the weekend on campus, residing in the lodge or platform tents.
