Blount County Education Foundation hires Steve Stout as Executive Director

Steve Stout, has been hired to serve as Executive Director for the Blount County Education Foundation (BCEF). Stout was employed by the Blount County School System for over 30 years and retired as the Principal at Townsend Elementary in 2018.

A Heritage High graduate, Stout began his career with BCS as a teacher and coach at Montvale Elementary School. During Stout’s tenure with BCS he also served as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for Heritage Middle School and later the Assistant Principal for Heritage High School. 

 

“We are thrilled to have someone with Steve’s experience and passion for Blount County Schools to lead the BCEF as we continue to address educational needs within the BCS System”, said Betsy Cunningham, Board President BCEF.

 

In the newly created role, Stout will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the BCEF with direction from the Board of Directors. Stout with work with the school system to further define the purpose of BCEF and to enlarge the footprint of BCEF in regards to partnerships in the community. Stout’s office is located at Mary Blount Elementary school and he can be reached at Steve.Stout@blountk12.org.
