Summer on Broadway to Offer a Weekend of Entertainment and Festivities

On June 21-22, the much-anticipated Summer on Broadway will take place, a premier summer festival with a hometown atmosphere full of outdoor events and local vendors.

The spectacular summer festival along the peaceful backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains includes live music, local crafters, food trucks, a kids’ area, car shows, a beer festival, a parade through the streets of historic downtown Maryville and more. It’s suited for people all ages and incorporates fun, family events. The festival is fun for the community while attracting people from surrounding cities and states.

The not-to-miss annual event continues to be on the rise each year with more activities taking place. Six main events are set for this year that range from Smoky Mountain DockDogs to The Big BBQ Bash. There’s also the Hops in the Hills annual craft beer festival, Napa Know How Auto Fest, Friday Night Lights and the Maryville Farmers Market.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy whether it be foodies, car fanatics and beer or music lovers. The festival has drawn in attendees from all over the southeast and connects the community and out-of-town attendees to experience downtown Maryville at its finest.

At the event, there will be a kid’s area with face-painting, a bungy trampoline, a rock wall and more. Live music will be performed by The Cleverlys, a one-of-a-kind comedy and music blend, as guests roam the markets, games and eateries with local crafters and food trucks.

“Summer on Broadway is a rapidly growing, anticipated annual event that showcases and supports the best of the region,” said Blount Partnership Director of Tourism Kim Mitchell. “It’s a weekend full of pure fun where everyone can kick back, come together and let loose to celebrate the start of the summer season.”

On Friday, June 21, the festival starts at 2 p.m. on Broadway Ave. Festival admission and parking is free.

Saturday, June 22, it starts at 9 a.m. on Broadway Ave.
