Southeast Tourism Society Selects Townsend's Grains & Grits as an 'STS Top 20 Event'
Southeast Tourism Society has named the Blount Partnership's Townsend Grains & Grits Spirits Festival one of the STS Top 20 Events in the Southeast for November 2020.
This year's Townsend Grains & Grits Spirits Festival is November 7. The STS Top 20 Festival and Event Awards have highlighted programs around the Southeast since 1985.
“This is extremely exciting for the Grains & Grits Festival and Townsend,” said Blount Partnership Director of Tourism Kim Mitchell said. “It’s a relatively new event compared with the others on the list at only five years old, so it’s an honor to receive this recognition from STS.”
Travel industry experts select 20 events per month, and STS publicizes them throughout the United States. The complete list is published on two websites: Southeast Tourism Society and Travel Media Press Room.
The Townsend Grains & Grits Festival is a festival of southern spirits and gourmet grub. It is a unique opportunity to experience a thriving craft spirits and gourmet food community, while discovering some of the region's legendary distillers and blenders, taking place in the Peaceful Side of the Smokies.
The festival provides an intimate sampling event, offering something for consumers, foodies, bartenders and spirit professionals alike.
