Welcome to East Tennessee.

Blount County was a growing regional business center over a century ago, and the Blount Partnership worked hard through one decade after another as the community prospered. Today, Blount County is home to hundreds of small stores, small industrial shops, professional service providers, large-sized retailers and corporations of nearly every size.

Blount County has a long, successful tradition as a business-friendly community, and the Blount Partnership, which encompasses the Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Board and Smoky Mountain Tourism Development Authority, is dedicated to maintaining that tradition, as it has for more than 100 years.

We are extremely proud of the businesses in this community that help shape, protect and ease our lives. Not just here in Blount County, but all over the world, people are benefiting from the great advances.

The Partnership is the eyes, ears and voice of the business community. We work daily with local and regional governments and business-related agencies to protect business interests and to keep the community healthy through a vital commercial sector.

The Partnership serves the business community through a wide variety of programs and services from quarterly mixers, networking coffee clubs and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new businesses, to marketing assistance, business expos and business recruitment, which is the life blood of any prospering community. It also does group travel recruitment, festival development and large business developments that bring jobs and capital investment to the area.

The community as a whole benefits from the Partnership’s attention as well, through sponsorship of town meetings, legislative luncheons, candidate forums and publication of business and community guides. The Partnership works closely with the Cities of Alcoa, Maryville, Townsend, Rockford, Louisville and Friendsville.
